Today is International Youth Day. “A day to celebrate the achievements of youth”
International Youth Day is an awareness day designated by the United Nations to draw attention to a given set of cultural and legal issues surrounding youth.
It is held each year on August 12th and is an initiative that celebrates the qualities of young people and that recognises the challenges that today’s youth can face.
International Youth Day gives an opportunity to celebrate young peoples’ voices, actions and initiatives, as well as their meaningful, universal and equitable engagement.
Youth are powerful advocates and the key for intergenerational collaboration 🔑
As we celebrate the youth today, we will continue to remember that young people are powerful beyond measure.
It’s about time for young people to Be Seen Be Heard.
