SOUTH AFRICA AND JAMAICA RELATIONS

International Relations and Cooperation Deputy Minister, Mr Alvin Botes received a courtesy call from Jamaica’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Ms Kamina Johnson Smith in Cape Town on Monday, 9 May 2022.

They had a brief conversation where various issues including bilateral ties where discussed.

#SouthAfrica 🇿🇦 and #Jamaica 🇯🇲 have shared strong #BilateralRelations since 1994.

The Jamaican Government has waived visa requirements for all South African passport holders, while regular holders of Jamaican passports may enter South Africa for a period of up to 90 days without the necessity of visas.

Exports fall chiefly into the categories of chemicals etc. and machinery etc. Imports fall chiefly into the category of prepared foodstuffs, beverages, spirits and vinegar, tobacco, among others.
