UKRAINE INVESTMENT PROMOTION VISIT TO SOUTH AFRICA HEADED BY DEPUTY MINISTER FOR DEVELOPMENT OF ECONOMY, TRADE, AND AGRICULTURE OF UKRAINE,  TRADE ENVOY OF UKRAINE T. KACHKA

Ukrainian delegation headed by Deputy Minister for Development of Economy, Trade, and Agriculture of Ukraine,  Trade Envoy of Ukraine T. Kachka is visiting the Republic of South Africa.

The Deputy Minister for Development of Economy, Trade, and Agriculture of Ukraine,  Trade Envoy of Ukraine is accompanied by Ukrainian business representatives. The delegation arrived  on 14th April 2021.

Deputy Minister for Development of Economy, Trade, and Agriculture of Ukraine, Trade Envoy of Ukraine T. Kachka met with Mr. Mcebisi Skwatsha, the Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Land Reform of the Republic of South Africa. During the meeting, issues of further cooperation between Ukraine and South Africa in the field of agriculture were discussed.

Ms. Vladyslava Magaletska, the Head of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection met with Dr. Mpho Maja, the Director of the Directorate of Animal Health of the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development of the Republic of South Africa – during the meeting of Ukrainian delegation.

A reception in honour of the Ukrainian Trade Mission delegation visiting the Republic of South Africa, headed by Deputy Minister for Development of Economy, Trade, and Agriculture of Ukraine,  Trade Envoy of Ukraine T. Kachka was held at the Ukranian Embassy in Pretoria.

The heads of missions of countries Ukrainian Embassy in Pretoria is accredited  to: Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mauritius, Madagascar, Namibia attended the reception, which was within the framework to explore the many opportunities that the business representatives are exploring around Africa. Subsequently, in line with the Ukrainian Foreign Policy and Cooperation in pursue of Economic Diplomacy, in South Africa and the Region. The investments opportunities  were in the sectors ranging from agriculture, energy, and mining, health among others.

During the reception the Memorandum of Economic Cooperation between the Council of Exporters and Investors under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry was signed.
