Earlier this week, Honourable Dr. Lemogang Kwape, Minister of International Affairs and Cooperation held a virtual meeting with Her Excellency Ms. Sian Price, British High Commissioner to Botswana, to exchange views on the status of bilateral relations between Botswana and the United Kingdom.
Among others, the virtual meeting afforded High Commissioner Price the opportunity to inform the Honourable Minister on the United Kingdom’s Integrated Review of Security, Defence, Development and Foreign Policy. Accordingly, the High Commissioner highlighted key areas that can be explored for enhanced cooperation between Botswana and the UK, including on issues of climate change and environmental conservation, economic development and trade, as well as support for Small and Mid-Sized Enterprises (SMEs). The two acknowledged the excellent bilateral relations that exist between the UK and Botswana and reiterated their commitment to work together in areas of mutual interest.
