On September 12, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke over phone with his South African counterpart, Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Dr. Naledi Pandor.
The parties exchanged views on key issues of bilateral agenda with a focus on deepening of a political dialogue, enhancing mutually beneficial trade and economic as well as other types of cooperation.
Moscow and Pretoria confirmed the interest in further enhancing cooperation within the international platforms, including the UN, G20, BRICS and other multilateral fora in order to resolve topical international and regional issues with dialogue and on the basis of respect for the UN Charter.
The Ministers discussed the schedule of the forthcoming contacts.
