THE FIRST PRESIDENT OF ZAMBIA DR. KENNETH KAUNDA DIES AT THE AGE OF 97

It is with great sadness to learn of the passing away of the First President of the Republic of Zambia Dr Kenneth David Kaunda. The First President of Zambia, Kenneth Kaunda, has died aged 97.

President Kenneth Kaunda was the country’s founding father and ruled Zambia for 27 years from 1964 after Zambia gained independence from Britain.

President Kenneth Kaunda’s death comes days after reports that he was admitted to Maina Soko Military hospital in the capital Lusaka, where he was treated for pneumonia.

The Diplomatic Informer Magazine SA wishes to extend our sincere Condolonces to the Kaunda Family, the Government and the people of Zambia as they mourn the First President and true African Son of the soil.
